It's been a while since I've written a blog post, as in three months a while... After the winter and spring we had, I felt like the summer was this sacred time to be enjoyed to the fullest and spent outside as much as possible! Our summer was mainly spent at the beach, and I found a new love for the ocean. Growing up on the Atlantic and now living on the Pacific I have to say the beaches out here are pretty epic in comparison (sorry East coast friends!) Andreas my oldest started gaining confidence splashing in the water and Theo the youngest, discovered his passion for eating sand! 😆
The summer wasn't all rainbows and unicorns, however, and I learned for the first time what real stress is and all of its horrible effects on the body. Ever since I assumed the new role of mom (4 years now) my children have come first and my well being has come last. That's been my choice, but things finally boiled over, as they do, and it was time to carve out that time for me. I think mothers out there can identify with this and we know that balance is SO important to a healthy life, but come 7 pm when the kids are in bed all I want is a glass of wine and some Netflix! I've started working out again four days a week and everything within me and around me has regained balance. As some of you know, I took a brief social media break to focus on me, as a business owner it was difficult to do, but it helped to reconnect me with the vision and core values of my company (more on that later).
I have a really exciting direction for Tiny Teethers and some amazing new designs I've been working on. I'm hoping to introduce these before the holidays, but if I don't, I promise you'll all still love them when they get finished!
With my recent focus on balance, I have also been reflecting on life and really appreciating everyone and everything around me. This weekend is Thanksgiving for us here in Canada and I think that in light of all the events that have taken place over the past few weeks I will be spending this weekend holding my little ones a little bit tighter and really appreciating all that I have. 🙏
Much love and a happy thanksgiving,
